A relation R over AxB is symmetric if for every a of (a,b) there is (b,a) in R.

Examples

R is a relation over set A (This means R is a subset of A x A).

A={1,2,3}

R={(1,2),(2,1),(2,3),(3,2)}

R is symmetric because for (1,2) there is (2,1) and for (2,3) there is (3,2) and vice versa.
