Slope Field

Slope field of the equation \frac{dy}{dx}=x^2-x-2

A slope field is a scalar field representing the possible solutions of an ordinary differential equation of the first order. The slope of each line segment is that of the tangent line of the possible function at that point. They can be used to visualize solutions to differential equations when a solution is difficult or impossible to find.
