To work it out the nth term follow these steps:

- Work out what the sequence goes up in, in this case 3. Put your number in front of the n like this: 3n
- Then work out what you have to add or subtract from the times for your sequence to get to your sequence number you might want to set it out like this:

3, 6, 9, 12 3x table

4, 7, 10, 13 sequence numbers

+1, +1, +1, +1

- Now you found what you add or subtract you know what to put next. So now your equation should look like this: 3n +1

- Your finished.
