A multiple of an integer is the product of that integer with a natural number.

## Properties

• Every integer is a multiple of itself ($a = a \cdot 1) * Zero is a multiple of every integer (although not considered in many cases) ([itex]0 = 0 \cdot n$)
• If $a$ and $b$ are multiples of $x,$ then $a+b$, $a-b$ and $ab$ are multiples of $x.$
