Introduction to mathematics is often the name given to a "first course" in mathematics at any level of schooling, but especially at the high-school or college level.

The college-level course is usually taken by students whose majors lie outside of mathematics and the sciences. The curriculum often concentrates on topics from finite mathematics, Euclidean geometry and elementary discrete mathematics.
